Eligibility
Nominees must be manufacturing companies with significant operations in the State of Wisconsin. The 2008 Grand Award winners are not eligible for the 2009 program. If you have questions on company eligibility, please contact Bridget Keeler, MOTY Coordinator at 800-362-7301. Self-nominations are encouraged.
2009 Required Nomination Information
Each company will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges using a ranking system for the categories listed below. Be sure to read the entire 2009 Nomination Form (PDF File). Nominations must be submitted on paper, not electronically, and should include information or supporting materials for each category. Awards are based on the details provided in the nomination materials.
- Company Profile
Provide an 800-word profile stating why your company deserves to win the MOTY award — a version of this profile will be used for promotion of the MOTY program.
In addition to the profile, include the following information:
- Financial Growth or Consistency
At a minimum include annual sales revenue and profitability figures for the last three years. Proprietary detailed financial information will be kept confidential.
- Product Description
Please do not submit actual product samples.
- Manufacturing Process Including any Environmental Solutions/Innovations
- Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement
- Management Philosophy/Employee Commitment
- Community Support and Involvement
- Photo of Top Company Executive and Company Logo
Judges weigh the importance of these and other criteria and their relevance to each nominee. Judges are in no way influenced by Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, or Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce. The judging panel is independent of the program sponsors.
