NEW THIS YEAR: Spotlight Awards
For the 37th Annual MOTY Awards, we are introducing four new honors — the Spotlight Awards. These awards celebrate specialized excellence, recognizing businesses that demonstrate outstanding achievement in a specific benchmark of their operations.
Spotlight Awards are judged across all company sizes using size-relative scoring. Finalists are only eligible for the applied-for Spotlight Award category.
Spotlight Award Categories:
- Business Resilience & Growth
- Companies that exemplify outstanding resilience or sustained growth through forward-thinking strategies or creative solutions in a challenging business environment.
- Community Impact & Investment
- Good neighboring companies that strengthen the state’s economy and civic life through factors such as local involvement, sustainability, education, partnerships, and philanthropy.
- Excellence in Product & Process Innovation
- Companies that drive innovation in products and processes while improving efficiency through lean practices and quality control.
- Commitment to Workforce
- Companies that show excellent care for workers, development, and long-term investment in people through employee commitment, safety, training, encompassing a continuous improvement culture.
Note: Companies applying for a Grand Award may submit a Spotlight Award application in one category. Companies not applying for a Grand Award may submit Spotlight Award applications in up to two categories annually.
