Winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges from industry, government, education, and the business media, including past MOTY award winners (sponsoring organizations do not judge the applications).
A total of four Grand Award winners will be selected – one for each of the following size categories.
- Small (1-99 employees)
- Medium (100-299 employees)
- Large (300-799 employees)
- Mega (800+ employees)

The judges may also decide to honor a company with a Special Award for excelling in an outstanding area. There is not a separate application process for these special awards – all applications should be written seeking Grand Awards honoring overall Manufacturing Excellence.
The judges’ decisions are final and they reserve the right to withhold an award in any category if there is not a suitable winning entry.
Judges are in no way influenced by Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, Michael Best & Friedrich, LLP, or Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce. The judging panel is independent of the program sponsors.
The Award Winners will be revealed at the awards banquet on February 20, 2020. Representatives from all nominated companies, their nominators, and guests will be invited to attend the black-tie event. The CEO (or designated proxy) will receive one complementary registration to the event. Guests are $150 per person; tables seat up to 10 people. Early registration is recommended as the event has sold-out in the past.
Information in the applications will be used by the judges and the sponsors for press releases about the nominees and the winners. All financial information submitted in your application will be kept confidential.
There is no entry fee to participate in this program.
Paper submissions are not allowed. Please contact the MOTY Coordinator with submission questions by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 1-800-362-7301.
